Families Seeking a Caucasian, Asian, or Hispanic Child

Thank you for taking the time to read about us.   We can only imagine the tough decisions that lie ahead of you.  We both admire your strength and courage. Our names are Hayden and Christian, and we are so excited  to have the opportunity to tell you about ourselves and to be going through this process which we hope will turn us into a couple to a family.

We have been very fortunate recently to have the opportunity to work together in our own medical practice and to see each other in a whole new light.  Hayden is a primary care physician, and Christian works as the practice manager.  If we are lucky enough to be chosen as adoptive parent, Christian will be the “stay at home” dad.  Just as we have been a great team at work, though, we know it will take great teamwork to raise our child or children and to provide them with a home where they will always feel safe, where they will be encouraged to follow their dreams, and where they will always know they are loved.

As a couple we are a perfect example of the saying that “opposites attract”.  Christian is very outgoing and social, whereas Hayden is more quiet and laid back.  Hayden grew up playing sports including hockey, baseball, and basketball.  Christian was very involved in theater, and is currently having his first play produced.  Both of us enjoy reading, going to the movies and the theater, and going for long walks in the woods with our dog, Pippen.

Both of our families are supportive, and our parents cannot wait to have another grandchild!  We live in a great kid friendly neighborhood with tree lined streets and nice backyards.  We are very receptive to open adoption.  Hayden’s dad was adopted, and both of us feel it is important for children to have a strong sense of identity and to know where they come from.

We are both looking forward to the little joys that having children bring into your lives.  Hanging finger painted art work and spelling tests on the refrigerator.  Making gingerbread cookies and waiting up for Santa to come Christmas morning.  We can’t wait for hockey practice and piano recitals.  Hayden grew up playing hockey and is so excited to someday bring his own kids to practice and games.  When Hayden and Christian first met Christian was working in a costume shop that made clothes for Broadway shows.  Christian can’t wait to make Halloween costumes for his own kids.  We both feel pretty fortunate for having the wonderful supportive families that we each come from, and both of us are looking forward to giving that love back!
