We have been married for 10 years. We met through a leadership conference in college 17 years ago and have been great friends ever since. We live in a three bedroom ranch house with a big backyard in a great neighborhood that is within walking distance to several parks. Our driveway is the school bus stop for our section of the neighborhood. Sue is 38 years old and a 2nd grade teacher. She has been teaching for 8 years , and has taught 5th, 3rd and 2nd grades, and loves working with children. She enjoys reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing word games on the computer and animals. Jamie is 37 years old and works in banking. He currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President and Credit Administration. He has worked in banking for nine years as a loan officer, branch manager and in his current position. He is a major Pittsburgh Steelers fan and has had season tickets for the past two years. He has worked as treasurer for a local non-profit crime organization for the past seven years. We are both animal lovers, especially dogs. We enjoy attending sporting events, (hockey, baseball, and football). We enjoy working in the yard and cooking out on the grill. There are many festivals each year that are within 30 minutes of our home that we enjoy attending. We live close to the beach, several amusement parks, water parks, a zoo, and an aquarium. We have the benefit of visiting these places and look forward to sharing these experiences with the child that we adopt. We usually take vacations during the summers and during Sue's spring break which is around Easter. We look forward to continuing taking these family vacations and teaching the child who comes into our family about these different places. We both have very supportive families that are spread out from Florida, Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Jamie's mom will play a major role in raising of our adopted child by helping to provide day care. Sue's parents are retired and also plan to help with the child. Jamie's mom and Sue's parents are very excited about becoming grandparents. We plan on telling our child about you and hope that you will want to keep in touch so you will be a part of their life.
