We are Carrie, Tommy, Ashley Grace, and our dog, Samantha (Sammie). Thank you so much for reading our letter and considering us to be the adoptive parents of your child. Please know how much we admire your courage and love for your child. This year, we will have been married seven years and together for twelve years. We adopted our daughter, Ashley Grace, about two years ago, after losing our son, who was born prematurely. Our time with Ashley Grace has been an awesome experience, and we are excited about expanding our family again through adoption. For fun, we love spending time together as a family. On weekends, we spend time in the yard, go to neighborhood parks, and hang out with family and friends. During the week, Carrie and Ashley Grace do lots of activities together, including music classes, swimming lessons, baking cookies, going to the children’s museum and botanical gardens, and meeting friends at the playground. During the summer, we vacation with each other’s families at Virginia Beach. We also enjoy visiting Tommy’s parents who live on a farm in North Carolina. Tommy works as a prosecutor for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Carrie works two days a week as an accountant with a family-owned transportation company. She loves the part-time arrangement and when our next son or daughter arrives, Carrie plans to stay at home for at least three months and then go back to the part-time arrangement.
