Carrie, Geoff & Jack - Family #610

Dear Birth Parents,

            Thank you for taking the time to read about our family.  We would like to let you know that we admire how courageous and brave you are for considering an adoptive plan for your child.   Carrie and I have been married for seven years and we have known each other for ten years.  We fell in love very quickly, and even before we were married we knew that we both wanted a large family.  After several years of trying to have children we were blessed with our son, Jack.  Due to complications with the pregnancy, we are unable to have any more children on our own.

            Carrie is a patient, fun-loving, and caring mother and wife.  Carrie has been a stay-at-home mom since our son, Jack, was born four years ago and will continue being a full-time mom.  She and Jack are very active with play groups, recreational activities and events throughout the community. 

             Geoff has been a fighter pilot in the navy for the last 12 years.  Geoff is a wonderful father and husband.  He is easy-going, patient, and kind.  He loves playing with Jack and teaching him new things.  Carrie and I think that education is important and we will help our children get a good education.

             During our free time we spend lots of time traveling.  Carrie’s family lives on the coast of Maine, where she grew up and my family still lives in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where I grew up.  In addition to spending lots of time with our siblings, Carrie and I have twenty-five cousins that we keep in touch with and see at family get-togethers periodically.  We are very close to our grandparents and our aunts and uncles.  Jack has a great time with all of his cousins and extended family and is especially close to his Great Grandfather.

            When we are not traveling to visit family we love staying busy at home and around town.  We both love to run, hike, walk on the beach, play in the sand and spend time with friends.  One of the great things about being in the Navy is that I work with a lot of people that are my own age.  Many of them have young children or are just starting their families.  Jack has been friends with the same group of kids his whole life. 

            Geoff plans on taking several weeks off from work when our new baby arrives and Carrie will continue to be a stay-at-home mom.  Family and friends are very excited and ready to help if we need them.

            We are excited to meet you and we look forward to finding a comfortable level of openness that works best for all of us.  We will keep in touch through letters and pictures and we look forward to setting up a time to meet each year.

            We want to thank you again for taking the time to learn a little bit about us.  Please know that we have an endless amount of love to offer your child.  We understand that this must be a difficult decision and our thoughts and prayers are with you as we begin this journey together.
