Families Seeking a Caucasian, Asian, or Latino Child

 Hello!!  We are Josephine and Ralph and we want to thank you for taking the time to get to know our family.  Although we cannot truly understand how difficult this time must be, we want to express how much we are thinking about you.

 

We have been married for six years and have known each other for over nine years.  Not only are we married to each other, but consider ourselves to be each other's best friend.  Although we were unable to conceive on our own, we have always had a deep desire to be parents.  We are looking forward to open adoption as a way to begin our family.  We feel strongly about providing a happy, healthy, compassionate and loving home for a child.  All of our family and friends are supportive and also looking forward to this journey.

 

Josephine is a Social Worker and is the coordinator of a program for individuals with mental illness.  She has a flexible schedule and is home relatively early in the day.  Ralph is a Control System Designer and is the President of his own company.  He works out of the home and has a very flexible schedule also.  Josephine plans on staying home for three months and then will return to work on a less than full-time basis.  Josephine's mother (Grandma Maria) will be providing childcare.

 

Family is very important to us.  Both of us come from big Italian families.  We are bi-lingual and enjoy celebrating old traditions and creating new ones.  Our families are filled with big meals, big hearts and lots of love.  Even though we have families in various countries, we still keep in touch and see our families, especially Josephine's extended family in Italy who come and visit often.  We enjoy spending time together, going for walks and laughing.  Josephine's parents live five minutes away.  She has two brothers who also live about fifteen minutes away.  Ralph's father and brother and his family live forty minutes away.  We have four nieces and one nephew who are looking forward to a new child in the family.

 

We live in a lovely suburban area in central New Jersey.  Our town has some of the best schools in New Jersey.  We enjoy the farmlands down the street from our home.  Our home is also occupied by Latte, our two year old Persian cat who thinks she owns the house.  She loves children and is always friendly when they play with her. 

 

We are Roman Catholic and attend weekly mass at our local church.  We look towards our faith for courage and hope to pass this along to a child.  Some activities we enjoy together are cooking, entertaining and board games.  Josephine enjoys counted cross-stitch, gardening, puzzles and baking.  Ralph enjoys barbecuing, anything to do with technology and antique cars.

 

We are looking forward to forming a relationship with you by the exchange of pictures, letters, and visits.  We are open to two visits through the year and hope to share in many of the experiences and milestones that occur.  Thank you for taking the time in getting to know our family.  May God Bless You in your journey.  You are always in our thoughts and prayers.
