Families Seeking a Caucasian, Asian, or Latino Child

Dave & Eric - Family #404

Dear Birthparents,

Our names are David & Eric.  We’ve been together for over six years and shortly after buying our home in New Jersey we started exploring our options for parenthood.  We’ve chosen adoption because we feel we do not need to be biological parents in order to love a child.  And we’ve chosen “open adoption,” because of it’s inherent honesty and openness.  Also, we feel that it is with a great deal of love and care that birthparents choose the family with whom they place their child.

We live in a quaint yet diverse neighborhood, filled with people of all races, religions, and ages, including lots of kids.  We’ve become good friends with many of our neighbors, often sharing meals, movie nights, and games of Scrabble with them.  Living right across the street are two of our closest friends, another gay couple who recently adopted a baby boy.

As professional actors, we work mostly in New York City, having performed in 14 Broadway shows between us.  We strive to be open, compassionate, respectful, joyful, creative people.  And as parents, we hope to nurture the same qualities in a child.  David thinks that Eric will be a wonderful father because of his generosity, his huge heart, his playfulness, and his imagination.  Eric thinks David will make a great father because he is kind, warm, and grounded, and for his dedication to family.  We can’t wait to open our home and hearts to a little one, and look forward to the rest of our lives as parents.

Thank you for looking at our profile and for considering us to parent your child.

Respectfully yours,

David & Eric
