Terrie & Chris - Family #2101

Hi!  Our names are Terrie and Chris and we wanted to share a bit of our life with you.  We are very excited to welcome a child into our lives and are grateful that you are willing to consider us for this tremendous opportunity.    We are eager for the chance to become parents!  Here is a little about each of us:

Chris

• Plant Manager for a manufacturing company
• Love to play (with our dog, games, sports etc) - I am truly a boy at heart!
• Snore! Terrie says she needs earplugs
• Only child, but always hoped for a brother or sister
• Favorite Foods: I come from an Italian family - do I need say more?
• Favorite Place: The mountains
• Favorite Season: Spring
• Coolest experience: Whitewater rafting & camping in the Grand Canyon

Terrie

• College accounting professor with a flexible schedule and summers/holidays off
• Love the outdoors
• Hate the cold! Chris says I sweat him out of the house
• Middle child of three - younger brother & older sister
• Favorite Foods: Pizza & french fries - although I try not to eat them too often!
• Favorite Place: The beach
• Favorite Vacation: Touring Italy
• Favorite Season: Summer
• Coolest Experience: Cave tour - an all day adventure deep into a cave. It was exciting and a bit scary!

Together, we enjoy traveling and taking our Labrador Retriever, Maya, hiking and swimming.  Last fall we tried to take her canoeing, but that didn’t go too well - we all almost ended up in the lake!  We like sports and challenging each other to board games, but our most enjoyable times are with friends and family grilling out and hosting holiday gatherings.

As parents, we look forward to family vacations and showing a child as much of the world as we can.  At the holidays, we have a tradition of going out and cutting down our own Christmas tree and this past year, Terrie made gingerbread houses with our nieces.  We plan on continuing these traditions and creating new traditions as a family. 

Our house is located in a residential neighborhood with children of all ages available to play.  Currently, it is just us and Maya living in the house, so there is plenty of room for our family to grow!  Everyone is very excited to welcome another child into the family.

We are excited about open adoption and think it is very important for your child to know about you and your history as they grow up.  If you choose us, we look forward to meeting and learning about you!!
