Dear Birthparents,

Our names are Mary & Jeff. We admire your courageous decision to choose adoption for your baby.

Mary and Jeff have been married for almost five years. We were fortunate to be friends for several years before we started dating. Our relationship is based on trust, friendship, and open communication. We believe these qualities will help us build a strong foundation with our future family and with you, the birthparents.

Mary's greatest strength is her organizational skills and Jeff's is a great sense of humor. Jeff relishes every opportunity to make Mary laugh and Mary keeps Jeff on his toes by organizing our home and calendar of events. We love children and enjoy spending time with our friends children. We look forward to raising a child of our own and including them in all of our hobbies and interests. One shared interest is gardening. Mary takes care of the flower boxes and Jeff tends to the vegetable garden. Jeff is a wonderful cook and likes to cook dinner on our deck using the grill. Mary and Jeff also watch sporting events, especially baseball. Visiting the shore during the summer is also a favorite activity.

Mary and Jeff have long desired to be parents. After dealing with infertility we decided that adoption would be the best way for us to complete our family. We live in a middle-class, family oriented, suburban neighborhood. Our community reminds us of the city neighborhoods, where we grew up. There are four parks and playgrounds within walking distance of our house. The local school systems have a good reputation.
